Many of you will know that Pauline has been struggling for quite a while in her home and has been in and out of hospital after falls and bouts of sickness. Pauline and her family have been discussing the future over the past few weeks and have all concluded that it would be better for all concerned if Pauline lived with more support much closer to Paul and the rest of the family. Somewhat to my surprise, Pauline is completely supportive of this change in her lifestyle.
On Wednesday of this week, all the cogs meshed and a place became available in a home in St Leonards-on-Sea (a mere 28 miles away from Paul, rather than 120!) and today Pauline was discharged from Hospital making the journey to the South Coast.
As you will appreciate, the speed of events is a little unsettling and then there is the anxiety that the home has about COVID-19 at the moment. Pauline will therefore have to self-isolate for a fortnight but will emerge from that on Christmas Eve!
I have already been asked multiple times for Pauline’s new address and it is: Grosvenor House14 Grosvenor Gardens, Saint Leonards-on-sea TN38 0AE
Pauline is in Room 16.
I’m sure that during self-isolation she would love nothing more than to receive lots of cards from her many friends here in Saxmundham, to whom she has not, obviously, had an opportunity to say good-bye. Telephoning is also an option but not until after the weekend, please.
Please, of course, pray for Pauline: for her ability to settle in to her new, strange surroundings, for safety and security in her new home, for her to feel our and God’s love in her self-isolation and for the logistics of sorting out her home and belongings here in Sax. Please pray too for Paul and Leanne and their two girls.
