Sunday church-based Services
Following an invitation by the Bishops for PCCs to determine whether or not to continue to offer physically gathered Sunday worship in our churches, the two PCCs in the Benefice have “met” over the last few days. Both PCCs reached the conclusion that it would be safer not to continue with physical services for the foreseeable future. This decision was reached after a full discussion of the pros and cons but the decision was very clear. We understand that there are some within our congregations for whom gathering in Church is really important and therefore the closure will be a disappointment. We hope that you will understand why this course of action is being taken. We are, however, committed to trying to support you in your personal worship as much as we can. Nic and others will try and contact those who have regularly attended 10:30 Communion in the churches to see whether we can safely make other provision. We hope to keep both churches open for private prayer at the previously agreed times each week.
Online services will continue as previously. This Sunday (10th), there will be a streamed Holy Communion at 10:30am accessed via this website. On the 17th, there will be a pre-recorded Service of the Word (9am, this web-site) as well as Live in the Lounge, with Tom and Lou (10:30am, Connections Facebook as normal).
